Rockin’ the Dome: Immersive Classic Rock at miSci
Experience Led Zeppelin Like Never Before – Under the Stars
Get ready to be blown away by Rockin’ the Dome, an all-new immersive planetarium series at the Museum of Innovation and Science (miSci) in Schenectady! Combining 360-degree visuals with the iconic sounds of classic rock, this one-of-a-kind show kicks off with the legendary music of Led Zeppelin on Saturday, August 23, 2025.
A Rock ‘n’ Roll Journey Through the Cosmos
Building on the success of the hit show Mesmerica, which drew over 30,000 visitors, Rockin’ the Dome transforms miSci’s planetarium into a mind-bending concert experience. Lose yourself in breathtaking projections synced to some of the greatest rock tracks ever recorded.
Opening night pays tribute to Led Zeppelin’s historic 1969 performance at the Schenectady Aerodome — and tickets are just $4.50, the same price as that original show. Better yet, if you were there in ’69 and can prove it, your ticket is FREE!

Is the show suitable for guests who are prone to seizures or motion sickness?
There are no strobe lights used in the production but there are some fast image and light transitions, so we would advise caution for those who suffer from seizures. Equally, while the vast majority of our patrons have an amazing time with no issues, a small minority who are very susceptible to motion sickness find immersive entertainment slightly uncomfortable, so we would advise caution if you fall into this camp.
Is the show suitable for autistic people?
We have found that autistic people LOVE our shows! Please note the venue is dark and there is surround sound. We advise sitting at the end of a row if you think a quick exit might be required. Our on-site staff will assist if you alert them at check-in.
