Discover Schenectady is re-branding its popular Schenectady Ale Trail to include the county’s distilleries and meadery. The trail will now be known as Schenectady Sips – Craft Beverage Trail

The trail features 6 breweries including Back Barn Brewing Co., Druthers Brewing Co., Frog Alley Brewing Co., Great Flats Brewing, Seven Points Brewery and Wolf Hollow Brewing Co. New to the trail are the Schenectady Distilling Co., Murray’s Fools Distilling Co. and Helderberg Meadworks.

Schenectady Sips will also feature a new digital passport which offers guests 3 options to taste and sample craft beer, spirits and mead from participating businesses. Passports can be purchased right on our website, it is then downloaded to the user’s mobile device and presented at the participating member business of their choice.

"We opened our second location in Glenville this year and are very excited to be part of Schenectady Sips.  This program is a great way for us to extend our reach and introduce our distillery to the area. We are confident that this collaboration among craft beverage producers will continue to be a meaningful boost to our industry and community." - Sarah & Randall Beach, Murray's Fools Distilling Co.

Pete Bednarek, Owner of Wolf Hollow Brewing Co. shared, “We are excited for the new and ever-expanding Schenectady Sips program here in Schenectady County.  The growth of craft beverages here has been rapid and now we are able to connect partners beyond just our friends in craft beer to now include those  making spirits, wine, cider and mead.  Schenectady Sips will be a guide for community residents and out-of-town guests to introduce the incredible craft beverages that are being made right here.  These dynamic small businesses are making great products and offering comfortable, unique places where people can truly experience the diversity and flavor of this community”.

Todd Garofano, Executive Director for Discover Schenectady said, “We are excited to launch the new Schenectady Sips – Craft Beverage Trail and expand the offerings beyond award-winning craft beer to cider, spirits and mead as well!”. He continued, “The newly launched Passport offers a convenient and fun way to sample flights or specialty cocktails at participating trail members as well”.
