It was truly wonderful getting to know a bit more about the Waters Edge Lighthouse, and trying some of their delicious cocktails and menu items!

We learned quite a bit about the history of the Lighthouse (the oldest building in Glenville!) and about the year-round delicious drinks and meals on their menu. Known for their steaks and seafood, we weren't a bit surprised by the delicious food, but were surprised to discover their vast cocktail menu! This is a great spot for a lovely dinner out with friends and family, or to grab a bite at the bar paired with one of their amazing craft cocktails, local brews or a pour from their extensive wine list!

Be sure to visit Joe, Nate and the rest of the welcoming and wonderful staff at The Waters Edge Lighthouse soon! Reservations are not required, but recommended for weekend nights! Give them a call at (518) 370-5300!

TOP VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS

  • The Waters Edge Lighthouse, the oldest building in the Glenville section of Schenectady County, is known for its waterfront dining views almost as much as the restaurant is acclaimed for its steaks and seafood.
  • According to general manager Joe Popolizio and executive chef Nathan Houle the most popular dishes here include the lamb shank, braised in-house for six and a half hours, then dressed in a reduction sauce (made from the liquid the meat was braised in), and flash-fried. The cioppino, a San Francisco style seafood stew, is also a very popular meal at the Waters Edge Lighthouse, featuring lobster tail, scallops, shrimp, clams, mussels in a crushed pomodoro sauce finished with aged provolone and some crostini.
  • The drink options on the menu include the Gin Buck and the Old Fashioned, the latter made with an in-house habanero simple syrup, as well as classic wines like their Cabernet and Chardonnay. The Lighthouse's cabana bar makes for an inviting destination for guests to come unwind after work.
