A curated night market for the Wicked & Weird! Taking place on October 19th from 5-9pm at Jay St. Marketplace, in Downtown Schenectady. Live performances, themed drink and food specials - and much more! Vendors specialize in an array of unique and original artwork, vintage wares, horror or macabre inspired pieces, handcrafted items, oddities, clothing etc.
ZOMBIE ZIPS AT MOUNTAIN RIDGE ADVENTURE
This tour is not for the faint of heart. Your nightmare begins with a corpse-guided tour along a serial killer infested forest to then be hauled into the trees among complete, utter horror. Once in the trees you will be launched in complete darkness … alone, afraid, and vulnerable … along a screaming steel cable hundreds of feet along Mountain Ridge Adventure’s awesome Zip Line Park. The terror occurs every Friday and Saturday night in the month of October. WARNING: This is not for kids or the faint of heart.
Explore the historic Stockade after dark and discover the neighborhood’s most blood-curdling ghost stories. Tickets are $15 and you can choose either the "Colonial Hauntings" or "Ghostly Victorian" tour. The two tours feature different stories, and venture through different part of the neighborhood. Each tour lasts 60-90 minutes – both tours cannot be done on the same night., Thursdays through Saturdays.
DOWNTOWN SCHENECTADY FALL SPOOKTACULAR
Enjoy an awesome autumn afternoon of fall-themed fun on Saturday, October 12th, noon- 4pm! The area around City Hall and down Jay Street will be filled with art, music, merchandise, food & drink vendors, and much more.
The horror-themed museum features wax figures in several rooms with settings and decorations to match the character. Characters include Michael Myers, Jason Voorhees, Freddy Krueger, Leatherface, Dracula, Frankenstein, The Exorcist, and more.
WOLF HOLLOW BREWING CO. HALLOWEEN SCAVENGER HUNT
Bring the family out for a spooktacular Halloween scavenger hunt at Wolf Hollow and Murray’s Fools on Saturday, October 26 from 12-3pm! Complete the scavenger hunt across both properties and receive a prize! This event is family friendly and costumes are encouraged!
Mix sips and science for miSci’s 21+ Halloween party on Friday night, October 25, starting at 6pm! Join in costume, indulge in food from Flaco’s Tacos and themed alcoholic drinks for purchase. There will be spooky activities paired with planetarium shows. Enter our costume contest and raffle for a chance to win prizes!
It Came From Schenectady (ICFM) is a fit series that plays movies at the GE Theatre at Proctors. In honor of Halloween they are showing 'The Haunting (1963)', 'Halloween III: Season of the Witch', and “Nosferatu, A Symphony of Horror”. Like other ICFS events expect prizes, surprises, comfy couches and a convenient bar.
SPIRITS OF THE MOON WITH NORTHEAST THEATRE ENSEMBLE
The Schenectady County Historical Society is partnering with NorthEast Theatre Ensemble to bring an immersive theatre experience to Mabee Farm. Enjoy a candlelight walk through the orchard and gardens, inside the historic house and barn where performers tantalize you with haunting stories, and end the night with a warm campfire. This program is geared towards adults. No flashlights or headlamps, unless red light. Shows are Oct 17, 18, and 19 with 6:30pm and 8:15pm showtimes.
Celebrate Halloween at Empire State Aerosciences on Sat. October 26! Follow the path through the museum and hangar for treats and spooky surprises. Everyone can design their own treat bag, enter our costume contest, rock out to tunes and enjoy sweet surprises among our aircraft. This unique event is one night only, for all ages, and FREE!

Scare-Nectady 2024
Members of the Schenectady Police and Fire Departments as well as community providers for the 5th Annual Scare-Nectady Haunted Patrol. Parade of Halloween decorated police cars and fire trucks will be making stops throughout the City of Schenectady. Each location will be giving out candy, coloring books and high visibility bags with safety tips for safe trick or treating!
