The Holiday season may look a bit different this year, but Schenectady County is still full of holiday cheer! Our favorite holiday happenings are still taking place, just with additional safety measures in place!
We've rounded up all the ways to get in the holiday spirit in Schenectady County!
ROTTERDAM CHRISTMAS MARKET
Head to Viaport Rotterdam and shop with dozens of vendors that will have your last minute Christmas gifts! Friday & Saturday from 10am to 8pm and Sunday 11am to 6pm.
FESTIVAL OF TREES
Join the Schenectady County Historical Society and YWCA NorthEastern NY for their annual Festival of Trees throughout the month of December! Decorated from classic to kooky Christmas styles, the Festival of Trees glows with the enchantment of wintertide. Masks are required, and we recommend advance tickets ($6 adults, under 12 free!). Proceeds of the festival benefit the numerous programs and services provided by both non-profit organizations.
HOLIDAY TREES OF HOPE
Visit Rivers Casino & Resort Event Center through December 27 to view holiday trees decorated by local charities and sponsorship partners. Social distancing and safety protocols will be strictly enforced.
Vote for your favorite trees to help raise money to support the tree’s respective charity.
SCHENECTADY GREENMARKET
Stop by the Schenectady Greenmarket inside Proctors Theatre on Sundays and shop from over 60 vendors. Grab fresh and local ingredients for your holiday baking and cooking!
