Opened in November 2015, Downtown Schenectady's newest hotel is a convenient host for meetings and events. The main level features 3,700 square feet of event space, including a board room and The Rivers Ballroom with a capacity for up to 365 people, and which can also be divided into three smaller meeting spaces. The sales and on-site catering team will make planning the details of your event and coordinating accommodations for your guests seamless. There is also space for cocktail receptions at the full-service bar just steps from the lobby and in the spacious pre-function space right next to the event and meeting spaces. Your guests will feel at home in one of our 120 comfortable guest rooms or suites at this modern hotel, with easy access to the food, culture, and entertainment that the New York Capital Region has to offer. All of the guest rooms feature stylish décor and modern amenities including an HDTV, large work desk with ergonomic chair and complimentary WiFi access. The DoubleTree also features a saltwater indoor pool, workout facility, outdoor patio, bistro, and an elegant and spacious lobby on the main level.

 

Safety protocols and procedures due to COVID-19:

  • A cleaning protocol checklist is completed to verify an event space is sanitized and disinfected thirty minutes prior to meeting start.
  • Top 10 high touch areas including tables, chairs, door handles, podium, AV equipment, etc. will have additional sanitization and disinfection protocols.
  • Sanitizing stations will have prominence in primary entryways as well as key high traffic areas including inside and outside eventspace(s), meal and beverage service areas, public restrooms and congregating areas.
  • Vendor compliance to all standards and floor plans must be submitted to hotel for approval in advance of meeting.
  • Respecting physical distancing with creative and customized meeting sets and meal service.
  • Meals, services and operational procedures adhering to physical distancing regional regulations, amplified hygiene & sanitation requirements, additional space to accommodate attendee flow.
  • Contactless experiences with digital check-in and check-out, digital key for guest rooms and contactless communication.
